ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Brucom Distribution Ltd recognises the importance of environmental protection and is committed to operating its business responsibly and in compliance with all applicable environmental legislation, regulations, and codes of practice. This policy applies to all operations conducted by the company and supports our commitment to ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements. 

Brucom Distribution Ltd is committed to managing its operations in a manner that protects the environment, prevent pollution, and reduce the impact of our activities on the local and global environment. This policy considers our environmental aspects, compliance obligations, and the context in which we operate.


Our Commitments: 

Continual Improvement 

Continually improve our Environmental Management System and environmental performance through setting and reviewing measurable objectives and targets. 

Legal and Regulatory Compliance 

Comply with all relevant environmental legislation and requirements applicable to our operations and activities. 

Environmental Risk Assessment 

Assess and periodically review the environmental aspects and impacts of our activities, processes, and services. 

Resource Efficiency 

Reduce waste and resource consumption by promoting efficient use of raw materials, water, energy, and utilities. 

Pollution Prevention 

Control emissions to air, land, and water; and manage waste streams through proper recycling, disposal, and handling of hazardous substances. 

Supplier & Contractor Engagement 

Work with suppliers and contractors to promote environmental awareness and encourage alignment with our environmental standards where practicable. 

Employee Awareness and Participation 

Provide training, raise awareness, and engage all employees in maintaining and improving our environmental performance. 

Emergency Preparedness 

Ensure readiness to respond to environmental emergencies and mitigate adverse impacts. 

Noise and Nuisance Control 

Minimise noise and other disturbances from our operations to protect the community and environment.


Monitoring and Review: 

We regularly evaluate our environmental performance through internal audits, management reviews, and progress against objectives. This policy is reviewed at least annually or when significant changes occur. 

This policy is communicated to all persons working for or on behalf of Brucom and made available to interested parties upon request.
